Israeli adtech analytics firm AppsFlyer has successfully secured over $1 billion in fresh funding from major tech players including Google, Meta, Moloco, and Unity. This significant investment reaffirms the trend of autonomous marketing and agentic workflows that are rapidly reshaping the landscape of digital advertising.

The latest round of funding values AppsFlyer at approximately $2.7 billion, as reported by reliable sources. Each of the four tech companies has taken a strategic minority stake, ensuring that no preferential data access or commercial treatment is extended. Following the deal, all transactions remain subject to regulatory scrutiny.

Founded in 2011 by Oren Kaniel and Reshef Mann, and based in Herzliya, AppsFlyer has developed a robust data software platform used by high-profile clients such as Coca-Cola, Nike, and Visa. The platform enables companies to process, analyze, and measure user response data on mobile advertising, which is crucial for assessing the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.

The technology is tailored to help app owners and advertisers identify the origins of their top users, whether through Google searches or social media advertisements on platforms like Meta and X. “AI is changing what advertising is,” noted Kaniel, emphasizing that as automation becomes prevalent, machines are now making decisions at speeds and scales that far exceed human capability.

Kaniel further posited that with AI taking a more central role in decision-making processes, independent and unbiased measurement becomes foundational rather than merely advantageous. “Accurate, trusted measurement is foundational to a healthy digital ecosystem,” stated Gaurav Bhaya, Google’s VP and GM of Buying, Analytics and Measurement. This investment signifies a commitment to enhancing measurement tools that aid advertisers and developers in understanding their campaign impacts.

AppsFlyer intends to utilize the funds to assist advertisers, developers, and publishers in making quicker, smarter, and more accurate decisions hinged on AI-driven ad measurement across multiple platforms and devices.

This recent funding round comes amidst a challenging year for AppsFlyer, which has proactively made adjustments including layoffs to streamline its workforce and free up resources for further investment in AI technologies. As the company eyes an initial public offering (IPO), Kaniel affirmed, “AppsFlyer should remain independent and one day stand as a public company, and this investment is a step on that path.”

With development offices in Herzliya and Haifa, the company employs around 1,300 people globally, with 700 based in Israel. Its clientele includes major players like Waze, Alibaba, HBO, and NBC, and its tools are integrated across more than 10,000 tech partners, such as Twitter, Salesforce, and Apple Search Ads. Currently, AppsFlyer generates approximately $500 million in annual revenue from its Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings for advertising management.

AppsFlyer had previously raised around $300 million from various investors, including Salesforce Ventures and Goldman Sachs, further bolstering its position in the adtech arena. As the digital advertising landscape continues to evolve, the spotlight remains on how platforms like AppsFlyer will adapt and thrive in an increasingly automated future.
