Independent Media Agencies Australia (IMAA) is set to host its Fast.Future.Present event in Perth on Thursday, April 23. This occasion promises to be engaging, with AI consultant Mark Byrne leading a breakfast session at the Pan Pacific Perth.

Byrne, the founder of consultancy Headspring, has established his business to assist agency teams in navigating the complexities of generative AI implementation for tangible outcomes. His keynote address, titled Escaping the Age of Average: How to Think Sharper, Work Smarter and Use AI Without Losing Your Edge, draws insights from a year spent integrating GenAI into everyday work processes.

In reflecting on the rapid evolution of technology, Byrne commented, “We have never seen a technology this disruptive or this widely used, yet so poorly guided by the very organisations it is reshaping.” He emphasized the substantial potential for increased productivity and enhanced quality of work, noting that success depends on more than just proficiency with tools. “The people who perform best are those who can monitor their own thinking, question outputs, and refine what AI gives them. Mindset matters as much as capability.”

Sam Buchanan, the CEO of IMAA, noted that Byrne’s previous appearance in Sydney generated significant interest for a Perth location. He stated, “These events are vital for our industry, particularly as the sector is undergoing such rapid, transformative change.”

The event, collaboratively presented with Nova Entertainment, will be exclusive to independent media agencies, amplifying its significance within the sector.
