Canva has made a significant leap in the realm of digital marketing with the launch of its upgraded platform, Canva Grow 2.0. This new iteration transforms the graphic design tool into a comprehensive marketing automation system, offering an integrated solution for ad creation, publishing, performance tracking, and optimisation—all within a unified workflow.

Unveiled during the prestigious Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, Canva Grow 2.0 builds upon its predecessor, introduced in October 2025, and aligns with the company’s strategy to bridge the gap between creative outputs and advertising performance.

From Design Tool to Marketing Platform

This latest release marks a pivotal shift in Canva’s positioning within the market. Over the past year, the company has strategically acquired several firms to enhance its marketing technology stack. Notable acquisitions include Magic Brief, which translates campaign performance metrics into actionable creative insights; Ortto, a customer data and marketing automation provider; SimTheory, an AI collaboration platform; Doohly, a digital out-of-home advertising service; and MangoAI, an AI-driven creative intelligence platform.

By unifying these functionalities in Canva Grow 2.0, the firm aims to support marketers through the entire lifecycle—from creative development to publishing, measurement, and optimisation. George Howes, Head of Canva Grow, emphasised this need for integration, stating, “For too long, creative and performance have lived in separate systems.” He further noted that the new platform enables businesses to generate engaging ads, distribute them across multiple channels, and optimise based on real-time performance data.

What Grow 2.0 Adds

The update introduces a host of features aimed at streamlining the performance marketing workflow. Key enhancements include:

  • AI-Powered Ad Creation: Users benefit from upgraded capabilities that consider brand context, audience insights, and past performance to generate both static and video advertisements.
  • Bulk Publish: Advertisers can now launch campaigns across Meta, TikTok, and LinkedIn simultaneously, eliminating cumbersome manual steps.
  • Launch Dashboard: This feature provides a cohesive view of ongoing campaigns, addressing the need to switch between various platform-specific ad managers.
  • Multi-Platform Ad Insights and Reports: Performance data from multiple platforms can be reported collectively, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
  • AI Ad Tagging: This function automates the analysis of ads, presenting insights on effective themes and formats that drive engagement.
  • Automatic Refresh Generation: Leveraging current campaign performance data, this feature generates new creative concepts, allowing teams to adapt without starting from scratch.

Platform Partners

The integration has garnered support from platform partners like TikTok, whose Global Head of Ecosystem Partnerships, Brendan Jacobson, remarked on the potential of this collaboration to simplify campaign management for marketers. “We’re excited to expand our partnership with Canva,” he said, highlighting the benefits for direct campaign optimisation.

AG1 has also collaborated with Canva as a design partner, with its Brand and Portfolio Marketing lead, James Graver, expressing enthusiasm about the partnership’s potential for enhancing creative workflows as AG1 expands into new markets.

Enterprise Traction and AI Growth

The launch of Canva Grow 2.0 comes at a ripe moment, as Canva’s B2B revenue has eclipsed $500 million, with the company now catering to more than 95% of Fortune 500 companies. Furthermore, Canva ranks as the third most-utilised AI platform globally, with research from venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz identifying it as the fastest-growing in terms of customer spending.
